AMSTERDAM – Door het inbouwen van zogenaamde “zero technology-dagen” heeft de Britse singer-songwriter Tom McRae zijn vrijheid teruggevonden. Zonder telefoon, internet en televisie ziet de wereld er naar zijn idee een stuk leuker uit. “Kijk geen tv en je begint zowaar te geloven dat de wereld een goede plek is”, aldus McRae.

AMSTERDAM – De Amsterdamse britrockband Moke speelt zaterdag 9 oktober voor de derde keer in een jaar samen met het Metropole Orkest. Na gezamenlijke optredens tijdens Pinkpop en de 3FM Awards, staat de combinatie nu in de Heineken Music Hall.

AMSTERDAM – American rock & roll band The Gaslight Anthem had its breakthrough two years ago with The '59 Sound. With follow up American Slang the band aims at eternal glory. “It was a long, dark, cold winter in New Jersey. I think that's evident on the album”, drummer Benny Horowitz says.

AMSTERDAM – After seven years of absence singer Skye Edwards has rejoined Morcheeba. The seventh album by the English band is called Blood Like Lemonade and, as far as the band members are concerned, heralds a new era. “It's great to be back on stage and do Morcheeba shows”, Edwards says.

AMSTERDAM – Back in april, Sharon Jones released the fourth album with her backing band The Dap-Kings, I Learned The Hard Way. On November 1st they will play in Paradiso, Amsterdam. Jones is doing well: she played in a movie alongside Denzel Washington, and sang with Michael Bublé. “And I might be doing something for Oprah!”
